Spec. 4 James Sebestyen, 22, a radio operator (RTO,) takes a breather during fighting in the Hiep Duc Valley, 35 miles south of Danang. Sebestyen had been wounded shortly before this photo was taken. He was from Bravo Co., 4th Battalion, 31st Infantry Regiment, 196th Light Infantry Brigade, Americal Division. The battle was some of the fiercest fighting of the war between Americans and North Vietnamese Army (NVA) regulars.
